Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be launched on August 13, 2024, along with the Pixel 9 Series at its Made by Google event. The Pixel 9 Series will succeed the Pixel 8 Series from last year. Along with the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro smartphones, the foldable handset will also debut in India. To hype up the event, the tech giant Google has been teasing its upcoming devices on its official Twitter handle. Ahead of its launch, the promo images of Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and US prices have been leaked online by a tipster.
According to OnLeaks, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will sport an 8-inch Super Actua main display and a 6.3-inch Actua cover screen. In addition to this, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will get AI features such as Gemini, Magic Editor, Best Take, and Circle to Search. Moreover, it has not been confirmed whether the new ‘Add Me’ feature will be available on the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold or not.

The tipster also reveals that the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will unfold completely flat to 180 degrees, which was not noticeable on the original Pixel Fold and other foldable smartphones. Google’s upcoming foldable smartphone will get a new hinge unlike the original Pixel Fold, which has a flat hinge in the center of the bezels. To be more precise, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold might get a hinge similar to the hinge on the OnePlus Open phone.
In terms of specifications, Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be made available in two colors – Obsidian and Porcelain. It is likely to be powered by the Tensor G4 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM. For photography, the device could flaunt a 48MP primary camera, a 10.5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10.8MP telephoto shooter. Upfront, there might be a 10MP selfie camera. Furthermore, the device could come equipped with a Titan M2 security chip, a built-in VPN, a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, and the smartphone, of course. Google is said to skip the charging adapter this time in the retail box. Coming to the pricing, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is likely to be priced at $1,799 (approximately Rs 1,50,698) for the 256GB internal storage model and $1,919 (approximately Rs 1,60,750) for the 512GB storage variant.
